Welcome to the Historic Calumet Colosseum

Proudly skating since 1913, the Colosseum is a living landmark in Michigan’s Copper Country — home ice for local hockey, figure skating, and year‑round community events.
It is the oldest continuously operating indoor ice rink in North America. Recognized as Kraft Hockeyville USA 2019, our rink blends historic character with modern upgrades so everyone can enjoy great ice, great memories, and true Keweenaw hospitality. The Colosseum sits within the Calumet Historic District of the Keweenaw National Historical Park.
